How to Change Transfer Pin on MTN

You need to update your default transfer pin, which is 0000 before you can transfer MTN airtime to another MTN line. MTN automatically allocated this pin to you to make transfers, but you wouldn’t want to use it, would you? You’re more creative than that, and I suppose not.

To prevent the illicit transfer of your airtime from unauthorized persons, it is necessary to change this transfer pin first to your nail that you can remember for security reasons. How do you do this now?

There are two ways to adjust or reset your MTN switch pin.

Through Text Message

Just go to Message> Build a message and write using this format to use your mobile device. Default pin[space]New pin[length]New pin and send to this MTN number 7777

For example: if you would love to change the personal pin to 2938, then your Message should go like this; send 0000 2938 2938 to 777

Validation needs to make sure you repeat your new pin twice as completed up there.

After the text has been sent, you will receive a notification message confirming the pin update.

Remember: your default pin was 0000, and you won’t need it again, while the new pin you’re going to transfer with is 2938, and don’t share it with anyone.

If you can not go through all the message methods that do not care about changing your transfer pin, there is a more straightforward way to follow-through below.
