It’s not always important to stay involved in dating apps all of the time. If you’re finished using Bumble, you can easily disable your account temporarily or permanently uninstall the program. Here’s how to toggle off Bumble in one of two ways.
Disabling Your Bumble Account vs. Permanently Deleting It
Snooze mode is Bumble’s temporary disabling feature, which lets you take your account offline without losing any of your profile information or connections. Your profile is secret, you don’t show in any swipe matches, and your current matches and alerts are informed that you’re taking a break so they don’t think you’re avoiding them.
When you uninstall your Bumble account permanently, all of your data is deleted, including your profile information, photos, contacts, and everything else. If you plan to delete your account permanently and then change your mind, you’ll have to start over by creating a new account.

How to Disable Your Bumble Account Temporarily
Here’s how to use Bumble’s Snooze feature to take a break without missing everything you’ve already won.
- Tap the Profile icon in the Bumble app.
- To access your settings, tap the gear icon.
- Snooze mode can be reached by pressing the Snooze button.
- Tap one of the following options to snooze your account for a fixed period of time; a 24-hour duration, 72-hour time limit, One week Continually.
- Choose a reason to remind your current connections that you’re taking a break if you choose a short-term duration for snooze mode. You can choose from the following options:
- I’m on the move.
- I’m focusing on my job.
- I’m taking a break from technology.
- I’m putting myself first.
- Choose If none of the above apply to you, or if you don’t want your contacts to be notified, please say no.

You have the opportunity to return to the internet at any time. Simply pick Deactivate snooze mode.
DATE MODE ON BUMBLE
If you want to remain involved on Bumble but aren’t looking for a date right now, you can switch off Date mode and use Bizz and BFF instead.
- Tap the logo at the top of the Bizz or BFF tab
- Then scroll through the modes until you see Bumble date.
- To delete it, tap the X in the top left corner.
How to Permanently Delete Your Bumble Account
If you’ve met someone you want to commit to, don’t like your Bumble experience, or have any excuse to leave the app, you can uninstall your account and all of your data will be permanently deleted.
- Tap the Profile icon in the Bumble app.
- To control Bumble’s settings, tap the gear icon.
- At the bottom of the settings page, tap Delete Account.
- By tapping one of the following choices, you can decide why you’re deleting your Bumble account:
- Billing Problems When You’ve Found/Are in a Relationship Other: Unhappy with Service
