I feel like I’ve stumbled upon a well-kept secret to meeting high-quality guys! By chance, I came across a Facebook group for singles. If you use Facebook for work, as I do, you might be given recommendations for groups to join. I used to dismiss them, but I recently decided to give one a shot. This was a group for Jewish singles in their 40s and 50s, which is my demographic. What I learned was incredible; this group featured many of the same faces I had seen on JDate.com. However, they were no longer static stranger profiles. There were men who were constantly involved in stimulating conversations, most of which revolved around relationships. I was able to gain insight into their attitudes and beliefs. Men in the Facebook community who had previously ignored my emails were now conversing with me. Several people sent friend requests. I’m getting to know a couple of them better, and it’ll just be a matter of time before we start dating.
On Facebook, how do you find love? Members will build thousands of Facebook groups to discuss specific topics and share photographs, video clips, and links to online material. While there is no Facebook directory or “yellow pages,” you can use the Facebook Search tool to view and access all groups in a specific topic category.
The drop-down menu can contain a list of classes. If you do, choose the one you want to enter by clicking on it. If you want to see more classes, press “See More Results” at the bottom of the drop-down menu, which will take you to a new page with the results of your keyword quest.
To filter search results and display only Facebook Groups rather than Facebook Sites, apps, users, and other Facebook material, click the “Groups” tab in the left-hand menu. I didn’t have to complete this phase during my search.
To see all Facebook Groups in your keyword band, scroll down the list of results. To go to the homepage of a community, click on its name. To join the party, go to the top of the page and press the “join group” button. So easy!
Some groups are private, and you must ask permission to enter them. If you click the “join party” link, you will most likely be added to the group. They aren’t usually picky eaters.
Now go have some fun! Participate in the discussion. If you like someone’s comment, click on his or her picture to go to their profile. You’ll be able to learn a lot about s/he if s/he has an open profile. Take a look at their videos. Take a look at what they do for fun. On Facebook, vacation images are very common. Do you share a similar set of interests? Send a friend request and start a private Facebook conversation if you like what you see.
Where is the love?
It’s important to be open about reaching your match wherever they are. There are a lot of deserving singles out there, whether it’s at the library, the grocery store, or on social media. Love may appear in the most unlikely ways. So, what exactly are you waiting for? Get out there today and build some Facebook Community magic!
