LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Since its inception in October 2015, Facebook Marketplace has proven to be an odd website where users can sell nearly anything: similar to Craigslist, but worse and more amusing.

Although you can purchase completely typical items such as furniture, appliances, and gadgets in your neighborhood, there is a dark side where the most bizarre items are offered.

Here are some of the most unusual products for sale on Facebook Marketplace in the nearby states of New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.

1. Are you in the market for a new lamp?

How about a light display created from a domestic cat skull? “It’s the perfect gift for that creepy special someone in your life,” said one user from Las Cruces.

“A fantastic gift for that weird someone in your life,” says the maker of the Real Skull Light Display.

That’s right, you read that correctly. Javier and Teri Cordova of Clovis, Facebook Marketplace members, remarked that occasionally you get a delayed reflection and it appears that someone else is staring at you. Oh, no!

But don’t worry, Hobbs resident Haylee Humphrey says the message was written as a joke. “I just thought folks deserved to have a little fun and chuckle a little bit,” Humphrey explained. “There was a lot of laughter over that. I just wanted to brighten someone’s day and make them happy.”

Haylee Humphrey of Hobbs, New Mexico, joked about a “slightly used” coffin when she listed it on Craigslist.

Finally, there’s a DIY ouija board. I’m serious. When he sleeps, one Facebook Marketplace user from Albuquerque claims he hears screaming in his brain and his ears ring uncontrollably. We’ll probably pass on this one.

This Facebook Marketplace user from Albuquerque got so scared by the ouija board that he decided to sell it for $1.
