Police recruitment in Nigeria 

Do you want to be a part of the Nigerian police force? If so, this post will show you how to fill out the NPF Recruitment Form. 

The Nigerian Police Force is accepting applications from appropriately qualified Nigerians for enlistment as Police Constables (Recruits) 

Requirements for Police Recruitment in Nigeria in 2021 

Applicants must be enthusiastic about a career in the Nigerian police force and meet the following broad criteria: 

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and have a National Identification Number (NIN) 

You must be between the ages of 17 and 25 years old to apply. 

Must have at least five (5) credit passes in WASSSCE, GCE, NECO/NABTEB in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics. 

Men must be at least 1.67 meters tall and women must be at least 1.64 meters tall. 

The extended chest measurement must not be less than 86 cm (34 inches) (only men) 

Any of the following anomalies must be absent: 

Speech stuttering 

Legs in a bow 

Knees knocked 

Knees bent 

Flat feet 

Hand deformity 

Tattoos are a form of body art. 

Scars on the body 

Squint eyes are caused by poor vision. 

Any part of the body can be amputated. 

Teeth malformations are severe. 

Navel Protrusion 

At the time of recruitment, you must not be pregnant. 

Any financial embarrassment must be avoided. 

The guarantor’s paperwork must be downloaded and filled out.

How to Apply for Police Recruitment in Nigeria in 2021/2022 

You must have a working email address and a valid National Identification Number to apply for Police Recruitment (NIN). See How to Set Up a Gmail or Yahoo Mail Account for further information. 

Fill in your information on the Nigeria Police Recruitment Portal at 

Fill in your NIN (National Identification Number) (NIN) 

Create an account by entering your email address. 

Fill in the captcha with your password (sum of the two numbers above the box) 

Create an account by clicking the Create Account button. 

Log in to your email account and click the link that was provided to your inbox (check your spam box if you do not find the message in your inbox) 

Click Login after entering your email address and password. 

Make sure you fill out the police online application form completely and accurately. 

Submit your application and wait for a shortlist from the Nigeria Police Force. 

Obtain a copy of your Confirmation slip. 

New Application Methodology (Update Your Police Recruitment Record) 

Candidates who have previously submitted applications are encouraged to go to to update their information. 

Note: Before submitting the form, make a note of your Applicant Reference ID for future reference. It is located at the very top of the form. (Be careful not to refresh the page while filling out the form; otherwise, the Reference ID will change.) Take care to copy the new application reference form whenever you reload the page while filling out the form.

Steps to take: 

Fill in your National Identification Number (NIN) (NIN) 

To update your record, please provide the essential information. 

Please provide scanned copies of the following documents. 

Result of O’levels (s) 

Birth Certificate/Age Declaration 

Origin Certificate 

Click submit after checking the consent box. 

Take a printout of your confirmation slip and write down your Application Reference ID. 

Guarantor’s form can be downloaded and printed. 

Note: Keep a copy of your Applicant Reference ID for future reference. 

Formal police uniform 

To show you are not a robot, complete the Sum Police Recruitment login challenge. Add the two numbers on top of the Sum box and type them within. For example, because the sum above is 3+1 = 4, 4 should be typed into the box.
