The Nigerian Army has announced the opening of its recruitment webpage for the year 2021.
Recruiting is done regularly for both tradesmen and non-tradeswomen. Interested candidates should apply online at recruitment.army.mil.ng. The Nigerian Army tweets from its official Twitter account:

Nigerian Army 2021 Recruitment:
Basic Recruit military training for Trades and Non-Tradesmen is a short-term training program for those with and without trade skills who want to join the Nigerian Army as Trade and Non-Trade soldiers. Candidates who have a minimum of a Secondary School leaving Certificate are eligible for the course, which lasts for six months.

To be considered for the Nigerian Army recruitment 2021 exercise, you must meet the following requirements:
The applicant must be a naturalized Nigerian with a valid national identity card.
Medically, physiologically, and psychologically, the applicant must be in good health.
The applicant must not have ever been convicted of a crime in a court of law.
All applicants must have a minimum of four passes in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at O/level, including the English Language, in no more than two sittings.
Applicants for tradesmen/women must additionally have a Trade Test/City Guide Certificate in addition to the preceding qualifications. The webpage has more information.
Non-tradesmen/women must be at least 18 years old and not more than 22 years old, while tradesmen/women must be at least 22 years old and not more than 26 years old as of May 31, 2021, when training begins.
Male and female candidates must be at least 1.68 m and 1.62 m tall, respectively.
Knowledge of a Nigerian language other than one’s mother tongue is advantageous.

How to Make an Application
https://recruitment.army.mil.ng is the online recruitment platform for the Nigerian Army.
Log in with your username and password, or create a new account if you don’t already have one.
Fill out the application form, submit it online, and keep a copy for yourself.
Then, as needed, fill out and print the Guarantor Form.
To the specified state recruitment centers, make sure you carry copies of your application and guarantor documents.

Candidates should be aware that there will be no computer-based pre-selection test.
There is no special recruitment center.
The Zonal Screening Exercise will not be held.
All potential recruits will be screened in their respective home states.
Candidates are not permitted to bring any electronic or recording equipment to the State Recruitment Exercise location.
Candidates must also follow COVID-19 guidelines, which include hand washing, wearing a face mask, and maintaining a safe physical distance.
Candidates who falsify or fabricate their results and are caught even during training at Depot NA will be withdrawn.
Candidates should have their BVN printout with them.
Candidates are strongly urged not to provide any type of payment or enticement to any individual or group of individuals to aid them in the recruitment process.

Shortlisted candidates’ names will be published on the NA website for all candidates to see.
From April 12 to April 26, 2021, shortlisted candidates must report to their respective states of origin for the screening process.
From April 26, 2021, successful candidates will be transferred to the NA Training Area Falgore Forest in Kano State.
